Debbie these are pictures from April 1st when we honored Viola Bailie for 30 years of volunteering
Vi had made a statement during the event, that she would not know what she would do if she couldn't come to the Bridge Builders. There were about 50 people in attendance to help her celebrate. Vi began volunteering at the Bridge Builders in 1985 and has been a loyal supporter every since. Wampner stated that Vi just doesn't look around and see things that need attention, she takes action.
Wampner spoke about the little dash and between when we were born and when we die. That little dash states our life. It represents the short time we have, here, to make a difference, or not. And making a difference mean so many different things to so many people. But for you, the volunteer, what you do during that dash is most significant. Wampner told Viola Bailie even after your gone, the Bridge Builders will always honor you on this day April 1st. Wampner presented Vi with an award for going above and beyond and a meal ticket and a certificate, and cake and ice cream.
