April, 2018
I would like to thank all the vendors and volunteers who took the time out of their day to attend the 3rd annual paddle party, that was held at Intercounty electric Saturday. A great big thank you to Sue Storm for all the hard work that she put into this, hopefully we will see you all next year.
While we were at the Paddle Party, I talked to several folks who thought we were still paying for our new building. The building is completely paid for. Although since we ARE NOT state funded, we still need to keep having fundraisers in order to pay for food, cooks, and utilities, cleaning and so forth. Stop by and pick up your monthly newsletter to keep up with what is going on. We appreciate all support you can give us.
Don't forget about the jam session held every Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm. Bridgebuilders will be selling food and drinks, so come early and eat if you like.
The all you can eat breakfast will be April 28th, beginning at 7:00 am. The cost is $6.00 for adults, and $3.00 for children. Under three will be free. We will serve until 10:00 am.
Oxford healthcare will be at the center on April 25th for toenail clinic at 10:00 am and then at 1:00 pm there will be free bingo. Come on out and spend the day with us if you can.
Tai-Chi classes are every Monday at 12.30, instructed by Dave Keyman.
We are still planning to have a yard sale on May 3rd and 4th. Opening time will be 7:00 am.
Friday menu has changed, we will be having catfish every Friday at 11:00 am
new pastor was visiting the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a business card that had printed “Revelation 3:20” on the back of it for just such an occasion, and stuck it in the door. When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned.
Added to it was this cryptic message, “Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.”   Genesis 3:10 reads, “I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.
I think we are all tired of this hot and cold weather. Come on spring.
Isaiah 61:11 For as the earth bring forth her bud, and as the garden cause the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
